Ang saya! A wedding on our wedding anniversary! Jo Anne and I got married exactly six years ago. It was a very simple wedding. Curious who did the wedding photos? It was my good friend and batchmate, Benj Caruncho (tol plugging hehe). The wedding was shot entirely in film. We did not have any prenups nor digital layout album but we have lots of 4r prints as souvenir hehe. The wedding nowadays are different and being in the industry today kinda makes us think na ang sarap magpakasal ulit. Mommy? The good thing na lang siguro is we try to share the experience to the couples that we cover. Not only giving them the best sourvenirs of their wedding but the relationship we build with the couple na rin. Wala lang, it’s nice to think that after 10-20-30 years when the couple looks back at their wedding photos, they will still somehow remember you and how you get to be a part of their most special day.
As for Alex and Cecyll, we were greeting each other very early, Happy Wedding Day hehehe! We got very unlucky with the traffic at slex but we were able to arrive just in time. The hard part din of Tagaytay wedding is that the travel you have to make and as Alex dad mentioned, the guests presence itself is already an effort. Reminiscing naman our wedding, it was a same simple wedding. Alex and Cecyll kasi were both very simple person. The wedding was emotional though as we often caught Cecyll in tears. Everyone who attended felt the happiness of the couple. Again, our warm best wishes! I know every year we will be texting each other…

My portrait shots were from a 5D + telephoto lens. Asteeeeeeeeeeeeg kasi full frame you can shoot portraits via 70-200 mm. =)
Window light as main source of light. The shadows on the inner part of the frame puts some drama on the photo.

It was a quick and fun engagement portraits. First stop was Nurture Spa Tagaytay, their reception venue. Then we headed to Balay Indang for the finish. It was our first prenup on both location. Balay Indang was nice. Marge also served good food for dinner, yummy! Salamat Bugi and Lara for the treat. For sure we’ll definitely go back to Balay Indang. Anyway, the shots we’re all smiles! Bugi was cheering up Lara the whole time. For us, this adds up as best examples of how prenups should be, enjoy and parang pasyal lang. =)
The 5PM sunlight served as a good side light.

I’ve been ‘overusing” Richard’s Nikon camera all weekend long during wedding preps at medyo nakakabisado ko na rin controls ng Nikon. He’s been really booing me to shift to Nikon eversince Day 1 ata and I’ve been tempted na rin naman kahit papaano. Although, I must say that there really are advantages and disadvantages, siguro lang hindi ko pa nama-maximize full potential ng system ko, go Canon hehe! I agree, Nikon’s rich saturated colors is a bomb most esp on available light but as of now I cannot take that for my Canon’s low light muscle! Siguro in due time. Anyway, I’m using he’s D80 with a prime 105mm f/2.8 during the last 2 weddings. It’s true po I’m a big macro shot fan, I can practically shoot the entire details using a macro. Anyway, as for the D80, asteeeeeeg din yung Auto ISO nya and trip ko yung walang flare na pumapasok lalo na pag back lighted yung subject, dapat pala I should test drive Paul Vincent’s D3 hehe, to completely be convinced, we saw each other pala sa Fernwood, again!

Tina Berti won the highest bid for W@W Auction of our Prenup Shoot offering at the Annual W@W Christmas Party last November. So sweet kasi Tina and Jessie also booked me as their backup photographer for their wedding next month. As for the prenups, medyo wicked and something new narin as they played ‘gotcha’ paintball in Global Gutz near Roxas Blvd. Asteeeeeeeeeeeg, grabe we had so much fun. Here are some photos:
